Membership
Although there is no biblical reference to church membership, we believe at the Church at BattleCreek that membership has spiritual implications and is important for multiple reasons.
We like to refer to membership as a covenant between you and the other members of the church and God. At the basic level a covenant is an agreement to act together in harmony under the guidelines of the gospel. While membership takes second seat to your commitment to following Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior it can be an important part of your spiritual journey. Being united and committed to a likeminded body of believers can assist you in multiple ways. Practically, at BattleCreek we renew membership annually so that the members are active in the components of their covenant decision. Please consider your membership at the Church at BattleCreek prayerfully. The Bible instructs us to let our yes be yes and our no be no and to be careful in following through with our commitments. If you would like to become a member or renew your membership please fill out our covenant commitment in the form below and a staff member of the church will be in contact with you shortly.
Ephesians 2:17-22 and He (Jesus) came and preached peace to you who were far away, and peace to those who were near; for through Him we both have access in one Spirit to the Father. So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the corner stone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
